Daily Devotional: Mighty to Save

Bible Reading Today: Psalm 109:26-31

The psalmist, despite the enemies’ mockery and slander, does not stop praying. He still longs for God’s salvation. In the end, God will change the curse into blessing. The psalmist puts faith in God’s promises and sings praises.

Applications

How do you respond when you are attacked by others? What did Jesus do? Our first instinct is to defend ourselves or attack back, but even on the cross, Jesus kept silent. God is our Vindicator and He is mighty to save. He is a just God who will stand up for you.

What is your attitude towards homeless people, those who are enslaved, or those who are “rejected”? God has a special heart for the poor and needy. May the church be His hands and feet upon this earth.
